Dark Creature (Horror)

The light had been swallowed up by the darkness.
The night arrived accompanied by the freeze.
Home silent, except for momentary slumber sighs,
But, the words that had slipped the lips from below
Flowed in the night; the quiet was disturbed.
The voiced whisper entered into my dreams,
Annoyingly, waking me from my deepest sleep,
The body wrapper that warmed me, I put aside.
A night’s creature had sneaked in, I believed.
I felt around me as I walked the cold floor.
The darkness veiled my sight as I stepped down
As I reached to turn on the source of light
The whisper was repeated, it sounded more human,
And less animal, fear leapt in my beating heart,
Since I could not see any figure but only the shadows,
I clicked the switch. Light spread its wings in my home,
I saw no human, no animal, and no source of the voice.
Since, every winter night the whispering voice haunts,

Every time I find nothing but an empty hall.
