Expectations

I have read it at so many places and in heard in real life too.

Expectation is root of destruction

My question is very simple, Is it bad to expect few things from people you love?

Sometimes what we expect from a relationship is not the same as what we imagined thing's would be like. Sometime's there has to be a bit of give and take. You only get out of a relationship,what you put in.
The more love,kindness,patience,care and understanding you give,then that is what you will get,or would expect to get back. You do not get without giving. A relationship is a partnership. 
Both people helping and caring for each other.
